The cap is pointed at first that expanding to conical but with a prominent spiny umbo, pale greyish brown and sometimes darker at the centre, smooth and fibrillose but silky. The margin is in-rolled at first, splitting and irregularly lobed upon expansion pf the cap. Its flesh is white while its gills are crowded and cream turning pink. The stipe is white to very pale greyosh brown, cylindrical, solid, smooth and silky and longitudinally fibrillose. This fungus can be found in abundance during the rainy season
