This fungus has plane cap becoming slightly depressed at the centre, milky coffee to greyish brown in colour, smooth and slightly sticky when wet. The flesh is firm, white to pale yellow and unchanging when bruised. Its stipe is slender, solid and flexuous. This fungus can be found growing in groups in the rainy season under various dipterocarp species and also been found in other lowland dipterocarp rainforests in Peninsular Malaysia.
