The cap of this fungus is wide and expanding to convex-plane, ochraceous to rusty-tawny becoming dark brown with age, subviscid when wet and suede-like when dry. Its flesh is white bruising a dull purplish brown while the tubes are cream bruising purplish brown slowly. The stipe is hollow, smooth, and paler than the cap, dark cream to pale yellow at the extreme apex and cream to pale yellow at the base with white basal mycelia. This fungus can be found at lowland rainforests in Peninsular Malaysia.
