Description

Rhinagrion mima is a conspicious damselfly species commonly known as Yellow Signaltail. Its hindwing may measure up to 22mm in length. Male individual has unmistakable markings and slightly flattened abdomen. They like to perch on low vegetation overhanging river with wings outspread. The female has similar coloration with the male. The Yellow Signaltail is commonly found and breeds on a small, shaded, forest streams in lowlands and hill country (Orr, 2005; Dow, 2011). It is widespread in Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Thailand and Laos (Orr, 2005).
