Tiger Marshmallow Spider (Acusilas malaccensis) is a type of leaf rolling orb weaver belonging to the family Araneidae. The common name applied to this species due to its tiger stripes abdomen and marshmallow-like form. It has a remarkable red and yellow colouring. Compared to other species, the males are significantly smaller, which measured at 2 mm in length as opposed to 8-10 mm for females. This species is distributed in Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Thailand, Laos, Papua New Guinea, China and Japan. It is found in primary and secondary forests (Koh & Bay, 2019).
