Cyrtophora cicatrosa is known as four humped tent spider due to the presence of two pairs of small black conical humps on its dorsal abdomen. This species exhibit the ability to change colour rapidly. When this spider is being threatened, it will drop the web and darken its colour to camouflage with the ground. This spider constructs tent web about a meter high from the ground and it also builds web in an open environment. Other than that, Cyrtophora cicatrosa prefers moist and thick surroundings. It is widespread in South East Asia, Pakistan, India, Australia and China.
