Black Scorpion-tailed Spider (Arachnura melanura) is a type of spider belonging to the family Araneidae. In general, its body is brown in colour. The dorsal median band is light brown and can be seen running from the two shoulder horns to the posterior end of the abdomen. The males are measured up to 2 mm in length, while the females can reach up to 17 mm. It can be seen widespread in the jungle fringes of Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Laos, parts of China, India, Japan and Australia (Koh & Bay, 2019).
