The cap of this fungus is expanding from convex to plane and becoming depressed at the centre. It is sepia to greyish brown in colour and darker at the centre disc with strongly striate margin up to one-third to half of the cap. Fruits of this fungus frequently in the FRIM grounds and in other lowland dipterocarp forests of Peninsular Malaysia.
