This attractive fungus is a small and pretty mushroom with a dark yellow to yellow-orange or yellow-ochre cap. The cap is convex to plane with darker coloured at the centre becoming paler to almost yellowish cream towards the striate margin. The gills are white and crowded while the stipe is smooth, has no ring and the base is slightly bulbous with two to three incomplete rings of small warts similar to those on the cap. It can be commonly found in FRIM and other lowland rainforests of Peninsular Malaysia during rainy season.
