The cap of this fungus is 50-60 mm wide, convex-plane to slightly depressed in the centre, clay-buff to greyish brown with appressed fibrils, darker at the centre and fading to pale vinaceous buff towards the margin. The gills are crowded and white at first, then becoming pale cream. The fibrils from radial zones are more distinct below the white membranous ring (Lee, 2017).
