Description

The cap of this fungus is convex with depressed centre and expanding to almost concave and irregularly wavy with a smooth to notched margin. The surface of the cap is smooth and dry and its colour is quite variable and varying from pale greenish in young specimens to pale yellowish cream-orange with tinges of greyish olive green to dark orange. This fungus has a sweet fragrance like apricots and it can regularly be found growing in groups under various species of dipterocarps during the rainy season and also in other lowland rainforests in Peninsular Malaysia.
