The lips and sides of the neck Spotted Forest Skink is spotted black. Around the body, there are 30-34 scale rows. The median two rows of dorsal scales are widened somewhat and all dorsals are wider than the scales on the flank and absent of nuchals. It can be characterized by leg long enough to touch the hand, tympanum sunk, lower eyelid scaly, supranasals absent, frontopariental paired, preanals distinctly enlarged.
