Limnonectes plicatellus is a species of frog that has large and broad head. Its toes are about two-fifths webbed and the first finger is longer than the second finger. The discs on toes are small but distinctly widened. This species has no vocal sac. The habitat of this species is in primary forest. This frog species grow to a snout–vent length of 43 mm. In Ulu Muda Forest Reserve, this species can be found on stream banks and on rocks of small stream. The altitudinal range of this species is at about 0 - 4000 m. The species is limited to Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.
