Amolops larutensis is a frog species that has vomerine teeth and its head is wide with a rounded snout. The skin of upper body and belly of this species are finely granular, its throat is smooth while its chin is yellowish-green with small dark patches. The tympanum is small and occasionally hidden. The measurements of snout-vent length are typically 23 - 33 mm in males and 40 - 53 mm in females. This species is abundant in primary forest and commonly in water splash areas and small rapids as well as on wet boulders. The altitudinal range of this species is up to 1000m. This species is native to Malaysia and Thailand.
