Wild Life Reserve. Gazetted under the Wild Animals and Birds Protection Enactment 1923 (Section 6(i)(b)). Endau-Rompin National Park fully overlaps within the wildlife reserve, encompassing 48,905.0ha. Area of the wildlife reserve managed by DWNP is only 52,493.0ha.
The original boundary for this area was reconstructed based on text description in the original gazette notification, but only six out of seven excision plans (maps) for the area could be found (by the project). The current size of the area (taking into account all seven excisions) is 101,700.9ha (slightly more than the size as reported by DWNP). This area is also inclusive of the Endau-Rompin National Park (48,905.0ha).
