Description

This fungus has convex cap that becoming plane and then funnel-shaped with age, ivory to pale cream and sticky with a dark buff to ochraceous cuticle. The flesh is white and often with brown stains that becoming hollow. The gills are crowded while the stipe is hollow and yellowish white becoming brownish. It has a pleasant odour but tastes bitter. This fungus grows gregariously on the ground, often in tufts under various dipterocarps at FRIM and is also found in Malaysia lowland rainforests.
