Goal 4 - Target 15 :

By 2030, a comprehensive biosafety system is operational to manage potential and adverse impacts of modern biotechnology on human, plant and animal health, the environment, and biological diversity
ACTION 15.1
Strengthen the enforcement inspection and biosafety compliance
Key Indicator:   By 2030, a systematic procedure for safe handling, transport, packaging detection, and identification of LMOs and their products is operational
ACTION 15.2
Strengthen impact assessment of LMOs and their products on human, plant and animal health, the environment, and biological diversity
Key Indicator:   By 2030, a comprehensive analytical framework is established that incorporates a robust risk assessment, management, and socio-economic considerations in the decision making process on applications for release of LMOs and their products
ACTION 15.3
Develop adequate responses to biosafety emergencies involving LMOs and their products and mechanisms to address liability and redress
Key Indicator:   By 2030, a legal framework to address liability and redress for damage caused by LMOs and their products has been established
