Aichi Biodiversity Targets 2011 - 2020

Strategic Goal E - Target 20 :

By 2020, at the latest, the mobilization of financial resources for effectively implementing the Strategic Plan 2011-2020 from all sources and in accordance with the consolidated and agreed process in the Strategy for Resource Mobilization should increase substantially from the current levels. This target will be subject to changes contingent to resources needs assessments to be developed and reported by Parties.

  1. Goal 1   —   Target 2   —   Stakeholder Recognition Empowerment
    By 2025, the contributions of indigenous peoples and local communities, civil society and the private sector to the conservation and sustainable utilisation of biodiversity have increased significantly.
  2. Goal 5   —   Target 15   —   Capacity Building for Implementation of NPBD and MEAs
    By 2025, capacity for the implementation of the national and subnational biodiversity strategies, the CBD and other related MEAs has significantly increased.
  3. Goal 5   —   Target 17   —   Resource Mobilization
    By 2025, there is a significant increase in funds and resources mobilised for the conservation of biodiversity from both government and non-government sources.
Today, there are less than 200 Malayan tigers left in our country.
